Live Data

The AMF provides a wide range of archived data products. Archived data are formatted following either netCDF, NASA AMES, or BADC-tsv format and follow the AMF file naming, null data, quality flag, and structure protocols. Tools to aid manipulation and display of these file types are also provided.

Long-term measurements are free and open access and made available through BADC as monthly and annual files: you will need to have a BADC account.

Our long-term measurements are usually, but not always, associated with an AMF Observatory. The links below list the data availbale from NCAS – AMF, and its predecessors FGAM and UFAM.

A20120610 WPMF campaign data products are those that can be provided with minimal post processing over and above quality checking. Processing and delivery of data to BADC takes no more than 2 person months.

Our instrumentation have taken part in a wide range of campaigns both here and across the world and data from these programs become open access 2 years after their date of collection in accordance with NERC policy. The data is archived at BADC and to access it you will need to have a BADC account.

We also provides quick look field data during campaigns. These data follow no protocols and are provided in the most convenient form. It is not made available through BADC, it is not quality controlled or documented and should not be considered publishable. Direct transfer of preliminary data in the field may be necessary and AMF will, where at all possible, arrange common electronic sharing mechanisms.

The Data Policy lays out the details concerning access, attribution, and sharing of data and by accessing the data products of the facility users agree to abide by this policy.
