The Air We Share
What does clean air mean to you?
The air we breathe is important, and yet many of us take clean air for granted. Is clean air something that you care about? In February the National Centre for Atmospheric Science will be bringing their clean air roadshow - the air we share - to three cities in Yorkshire.
Come along to one of our events in York, Leeds and Bradford to find out why air pollution is a growing crisis in cities around the world, and how you can make the air we share cleaner for everyone.
We’re interested to find out what you think makes the air polluted in your city, and what must be done to make the air cleaner. Complete our online air pollution survey, we’ll be sharing your thoughts and ideas with local city councils and national bodies responsible for taking action to improve the air we breathe.
Complete our online survey and be in with a chance to win £50
The survey closed at 5pm on Tuesday 28th February 2017
When is the clean air roadshow in a city near me?
York, St Sampsons Square - 10th and 11th of February 2017 - 10am - 3pm
Leeds, Dortmund Square - 17th and 18th of February 2017 - 10am - 3pm
Bradford, Bradford City Park - 24th and 25th of February 2017 - 10am - 3pm
Our air friendly roadshow, complete with solar powered lab, will help you to find out more about what’s in the air and what causes the air to be polluted. At the roadshow you’ll see science in action, as we’ll be making real-time measurements in the lab and showing forecasts of air pollution. You’ll also be able to take home and make your own simple pollution sensor!
Is breathing clean air important to you? This is your opportunity to speak to scientists about the air you breathe, find out how we measure what’s in the air, and make a pledge to breathe cleaner air into the future.
