The NERC MST radar facility is located at Capel Dewi 6 km east of Aberystwyth in west Wales and is managed by the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory.  The site is home to the MST radar as well as various meteorological instruments and lidars.  It is also the base of FGAM instruments, such as the Elight mobile boundary layer ozone and aerosol profiler and a mobile laboratory.  It is well suited for field campaigns, TURBOT (TURBulence and Ozone Trials) and THAW (Temperature, Humidity and Winds near the tropopause) took place recently in April and November/December 2009, respectively.
