The North Atlantic Climate System Integrated Study (ACSIS) was launched to the wider community on the 5th December at the Wellcome trust in London. The meeting was an opportunity for researchers in the fields of Climate, Atmospheric Composition, Earth Observation and Oceanography to gather to discuss "Recent trends in the North Atlantic Climate System" and to think about how ACSIS can unite a large community.

Speakers, including Tim Woollings (Oxford), Doug Smith (Met Office), Penny Holiday (NOC), Ken Carslaw (NCAS & University of Leeds), John Pyle (NCAS & University of Cambridge and Danny Feltham (CPOM & UoR), presented recent observed changes in the different components of the North Atlantic, and discussed our latest progress in understanding and predicting these changes.
