There is a charge to attend the NCAS Climate Modelling Summer School. This charge contributes to the cost of teaching, facilities, accommodation, refreshments and all activities. You will be asked to pay for your place on the course via the University of Leeds online store once you have been offered a place.
We are pleased to announce that the Climate Modelling Summer School has been awarded a NERC Advanced Training Short Course Award which means that we are able to offer fully funded bursaries, including travel costs to a number of students attending the course. These bursaries will be awarded on merit, but giving priority to NERC funded students. All applications will be considered for a bursary.
This summer school is intended primarily for UK students/postdocs, but we encourage international students to apply. Places are awarded on a competitive basis.
EU students attending UK universities or students supervised by NCAS staff are eligible for a subsidised student place on the course. An Educational Discounted price may be available to those students or post-docs not eligible for the subsided rate.
Other students and postdocs, as well as international students, are also invited to apply. However in these cases, costs will not be provided and will need to be met via independent means. Success will be subject to availability of places.

NCAS Event Terms and Conditions
Attendance and Participation
By accepting a place on the course students agree to attend and participate in all aspects of the course.
Attendees are required to pay in full by credit/debit card or provide a valid purchase order from their home organisation by the confirmation deadline. All payments and refunds are processed by the University of Leeds.
Cancellations of places on courses are subject to a £50 administration fee where the cancellation is made more than six weeks before the date of the training course. The remaining balance of the course fee will be refunded.
No refund is payable for a cancellation made within six weeks immediately prior to the training course – in this event the full course fee will remain payable.
In the event that a place can be filled by another student then the full fee (less the £50 administration fee) will be refunded once the replacement student has paid in full.
It may be necessary for NCAS to change the content and timing of a course, the staff, the date or the venue. In the unlikely event of the course being cancelled by NCAS, a full refund will be made. For all bookings, the liability of NCAS/University of Leeds shall be limited to the amount of the fee actually paid to NCAS/University of Leeds by the delegate.
