By the end of the course students will:

  1. Learn about the different types of science communications;

  2. Understand the types of audiences and the differences in how to communicate to each;

  3. Understand the differences between types of media;

  4. Discuss the importance of words;

  5. Be able to speak and write about their own research to various audiences;

  6. Be able to write about complex ideas to a range of audiences and for a range of media;

  7. Find out how to learn more about science communication theory and practice.
