FGAM staff were in Cape Verde in September for the TROMPEX (TRadewind Ozone Photochemistry Experiment) campaign.
The aircraft left Cranfield on Monday morning and flew to Sal in Cape Verde, via Porto and the Canaries arriving Tuesday. Further science flights were planned on the Wednesday out of Sal and a trip back to the Canaries via Mauritania for some upwelling studies were carried out on the Thursday,
The staff arrived back in Cranfield tired, but happy with the results on the Friday evening. A different working week to usual but very worthwhile. |
